The Wisdom Within
In Ayurveda, Prajnaparadha means "mistake of the intellect" - ignoring the inner wisdom of the body and mind. Prajna means intellect, awareness, or inner knowing. Ayurveda teaches that we each carry many layers of intelligence within us: cellular intelligence, tissue intelligence, systemic intelligence, mind intelligence, and emotional intelligence.
The body is constantly communicating through sensations, digestion, sleep, energy, emotions, tension, cravings, and intuition. When we become disconnected from these signals, imbalance can begin to develop.
Sometimes we know something does not support our wellbeing, yet we continue from habit, stress, pressure, overstimulation, or emotional patterns. For example, a plate of deep fried food or french fries may be placed in front of us. Deep down, the body may already be telling us, "This is not for me." Yet the smell is appealing, it looks delicious, and everyone around us is eating it. We may go against the wisdom of the body and decide to eat it anyway. Later, the body reacts through heaviness, bloating, fatigue, sluggish digestion, brain fog, or discomfort.
Ayurveda teaches that healing begins by reconnecting to this deeper inner awareness and learning to listen to the body's natural intelligence.
As awareness grows, we begin to recognize what nourishes us, what depletes us, when to rest, when to slow down, and how to return to balance naturally.
This gentle connection supports emotional wellbeing, nervous system regulation, digestion, clarity, and a more harmonious relationship with ourselves and life around us.
